About the Trojan Project
The Trojan Project has been funded by the Scottish Executive to gain insight into children and young people’s lives in order to inform policy-making, in particular those who the mainstream has struggled to include. Many of the young people taking part in the project are not currently in mainstream educational provision, having previously experienced problems of a social, emotional or behavioural nature in their mainstream schools.
The project asks young people to respond to questions relating to a wide range of issues. The young people work on their responses to these within local support and inclusion projects. Responses to questions and views are then sent to the project team where they are compiled and presented on the project website. Their responses give a fascinating and sometime provocative insight into young people's perception of schools, education and teachers.
