What has been achieved?
Full school uniform worn by 99% of all pupils – dress code arranged committee deals with positive behaviour issues (pupils, parents, teachers).
All teachers issues with supply of incentives circle time activities – all classes. Buddy System arranged/friendship bench in the playground.
Special Award assemblies held weekly.
Parents helpers work throughout the school.
Clubs arranged for lunchtime and after school.
School houses arranged – points are gathered collectively for each house.
Golden Award/Photograph Board.
Eco-school/environmental education Activities/Health from school.
Why Was it Successful?
Structures were already in place which supported the consultative approach to decision making, following a programme of review. Development and maintenance.
Positive and professional relationships with all those associated with the school were clearly established. Plans were available to pupils, staff and parents so that they were able to provide feedback.
Opportunities were provided for CPD.
Staff had much high expectations of standards or behaviour. The project was viewed as a whole school commitment. All members of the school community worked together to ensure the success of this project. The PTA worked hard to raise money for the climbing frame, the positive behaviour committee collated finding, the school board supported staff and also communicated with parents and most parents supported the work and still are doing.
