Positive Behaviour Team

A ‘Positive Behaviour Team’ of eight members, led by Maggie Fallon, have been seconded into Support for Learning Division of the Scottish Government, with a remit to disseminate and support the development of approaches to promoting positive behaviour throughout Scotland.

Each team member supports a group of three or four education authorities. Through the team, schools and education authorities can access training and ongoing support to develop their implementation of  "Better Behaviour Better Learning", including use of approaches such as Restorative Practices, The Motivated School, Solution Oriented Approaches,  Cool in School and developing Empathy training for staff. Information about these can be found in the Initiatives section of this website. The team’s aim is to ensure that there is awareness across the education community of the Scottish Government’s commitment to promoting positive behaviour, spanning both practice and strategic levels.
